The project itself involves conducting independent and original research situated at the forefront of your program's discipline within the broader scope of computer science and digital technologies.

Throughout this module, you will engage in the entire life cycle of a research project. This encompasses the initial stages of conception and development of a research proposal, followed by a critical review of relevant literature, and then progressing through the planning, design, implementation, and analysis of your main research project. The process concludes with the final stages of evaluation, reflection, and dissemination of your findings.

An integral aspect of this undertaking involves addressing professional, ethical, legal, and social considerations associated with the academic research project. You are expected to apply your expertise, project management skills, and practical knowledge within your specific domain of computer science and digital technologies. Additionally, the module emphasizes the demonstration of critical and innovative thinking, along with problem-solving abilities within a research environment.

While it is anticipated that your research proposal has been developed in an earlier module focusing on research and project planning, it is crucial to revisit and reassess it at the beginning of the project phase to ensure its ongoing validity and appropriateness.
