Our partner university course focuses on problem-solving ability and linking theory to real-world challenges. As part of this, we encourage visits to local companies and invite guest lecturers to share their practical business experiences. We understand that your MBA is part of an onward journey. In addition to the core elements completed by all our MBA students, you will complete a specialist module: either ‘E-Marketing’ or ‘International Marketing’. You will also undertake a marketing-related dissertation on a topic that is relevant to your particular interests and career aspirations.
In addition to the MBA in Marketing, we offer related courses including a broader MBA, and MBAs in Finance, Human Resource Management and Supply Chain Management.
Our partner universities are affiliated with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) to offer you dual accreditation with your MBA to enhance your professional profile and add to your achievements. On successful completion of the course, you will be eligible for the Chartered Management Institute Level 7 Extended Diploma in Management and Leadership. During your study period, you will also become an Affiliate Member of CMI, which gives you access to CMI’s knowledge resources.

Course structure

This course mixes taught elements with self-directed research. You can negotiate the topic of the dissertation to reflect your personal interests and career aspirations.
We use a wide variety of teaching and learning methods which include lectures, seminars, class discussions, case studies, group work, presentations and applied study.
Assessment is mainly through the dissertation and assignments, as well as exams in some subjects.

Eligibility

This course is designed to support career acceleration for suitably academically qualified applicants. In addition to a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualifications, all levels of practical work and work experience will be considered. This includes applications from pre-graduation candidates and candidates with limited or no work experience after completing their first degree if they can show that they will benefit from a programme of this type.

Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Accreditation

Our partner university's MBAs are accredited by the CMI, a highly respected professional institution for management. Students achieving the MBA are awarded the CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership in recognition of knowledge enhancement and understanding of the practice of management.
Graduating from a CMI-accredited course has been proven to boost employability by as much as 10%. According to the 2016/17 Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey, 58% of graduates from CMI-accredited courses were in graduate-level employment, further study or training within six months of graduating, compared with 48% from non-accredited business courses (based on UK students).
